Creta
Creta had the most drastic transformation in the journey that led to the birth of Dimidium: it was our kitchen!
For about a year here we ate breakfast while enjoying the slow awakening of nature in the morning, listened to the church bells marking the rhythm of our days, and got to know the village and its stories.
With three windows framing the hills of Matilde, Creta is the brightest of our rooms and has some unique features.
In its evolution, we wanted to keep the soul of this room intact, creating an intimate space in which to enjoy tranquility and slow rhythms.
The desk overlooking the main street of the village is the perfect place to relax while drinking herbal tea or reading a book. If, like Valentina, you love to write, there is no better place to be inspired.
You will notice that there is a peculiar windowsill in this room: what looks like two small “drawers” inside the wall are actually a system that allowed cooking with ashes.
We decided to keep this peculiarity that tells about the history of this room and the whole house.
